Published in Autumn 2021, the Plan has been widely seen by local residents as riding rough-shod over their views.
The Plan has long been regarded as a ‘developers charter’, with them pushing the process to their advantage with little regard for local residents.
We also see our local Council, Rochdale, as having already made it’s mind up to press for unprecedented development of Green Belt land.
We are concerned that local settlements will be swamped by the scale of housing and industrial units proposed.
Also, wildlife, it’s habitats, and the environment generally will suffer. On top of this, local agricultural land, supporting farming families, is used for food production.
