We remain concerned about the scale and extent of the developments proposed in the Places for Everyone (PfE) Plan.
This is particularly so for our local area, but also we believe the PfE Plan proposes excessive development across Greater Manchester.
Most importantly, the numbers of houses and industrial sites are do not match our needs.
Along side this, the proposals are vague and not thought through with big gaps in the increased capacity required to local infrastructure (health care – GPs & Hospitals; roads; and utilities).
From experience, we know that GPs and hospitals are already struggling to cope, and both the motorway and local road network suffer from a lack of maintenance and are often full to capacity.
On top of these problems we’ve seen an increase in instances of local flooding, caused by climate change, and inadequate, old, crumbling drains.
